On August 16th, we’ll be rolling out the red carpet to celebrate the launch of our Santa Cruz Fiber project with a Sign-Up-A-Thon Party. Join us at our headquarters in downtown Santa Cruz from 5:30pm to 8:30pm, where we’ll be welcoming everyone to stop by and learn more about the project, eat some great local food, listen to some fantastic music, and find out how they can be among the first to get connected to our new Fiber infrastructure.

We’re also excited to announce that Congressman Jimmy Panetta will be our headlining speaker!  “Cruzio has contributed a lot to our community’s infrastructure by expanding broadband internet along the central coast of California,” said Congressman Panetta. “While this infrastructure investment need may not be as obvious as roads and bridges, it is equally as important and supports our economy and creates jobs.”

Congressman Panetta will be joined by Santa Cruz City Councilmember David Terrazas and Bud Colligan, Co-Chair of the Monterey Bay Economic Partnership (MBEP).

In addition to our guest speakers, we will also feature live music, multiple food trucks on-site from our friends at Food Trucks A-Go-Go, and lots of beer and wine. This event also marks the beginning of our 2-month long sign-up-a-thon campaign, during which the first 300 Santa Cruz Fiber customers will be able to sign up for lightning-fast 1 Gigabit-per-second (1,000 megabits) speeds for just $49.95/month. We’ll also be upgrading our existing Cruzio customers to fiber as it’s built out automatically. It’ll be available to both businesses and residents in the downtown neighborhood, and allows for even faster speeds in the future as technology improves.
